Quest for the Adventure Towards Knowing:
Rivers

The quest is to the point of origin. Newness and opportunity is around every bend in the river. The seeking and flowing is the adventure, thus the knowing. John Wesley Powell observed: "That water paid no attention to terrain. It chose instead to cut straight into massive rivers or maintain ranges." He had to conclude that rivers are older than mountains! Rivers flow to the sea to end the journey. The end and the beginning are contained in the point of origin. One is always seeking.
Continuous learning is being willing to live with the questions, having an openness to learning from all sources, being willing and ready to risk, and becoming vulnerable to each other.
